Botanical name: Cota tinctoria    Family: Asteraceae (Sunflower family)
Synonyms: Anthemis tinctoria, Chamaemelum tinctorium, Anacyclus tinctorius

Yellow Chamomile is an erect, clump-forming, shrubby perennial growing to 3 ft tall which features profuse 3.5-4 cm across, yellow, daisy-like flowers and finely divided, fern-like, aromatic, green leaves which are whitish and woolly beneath. The yellow daisy-like terminal flower heads are borne on long thin angular stems, blooming in profusion. Yellow Chamomile is native to Europe to Siberia and Iran. It is grown in gardens for its bright attractive flowers and fine lacy foliage.
